New Construction Plumbing: A Complete Overview
Building a new home is one of the most significant investments you'll make. Getting the plumbing right from the start prevents costly repairs down the road. Hall Mechanical has worked with builders and homeowners across Walton, Newton, Jasper, Rockdale, Morgan, and Clarke Counties on new home construction projects of all sizes.
Phase 1: Underground Rough-In
Before the slab is poured, a plumber installs all underground drain lines, waste lines, and water supply lines. This is the most critical phase — mistakes here are expensive to fix once concrete is poured. Hall Mechanical carefully lays out all underground runs per the approved blueprints and local code requirements.
Phase 2: Above-Ground Rough-In
Once the framing is complete, the plumber returns to install all supply lines, drain lines, and vent pipes through the walls and floors. This includes running lines to every bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and outdoor hose bib. Rough-in work must pass a plumbing inspection before walls are closed.
Phase 3: Trim-Out / Finish Plumbing
After drywall and tile work are complete, the plumber returns to install all fixtures — toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, tubs, dishwashers, ice maker lines, water heaters, and more. This is the finish phase that brings everything to life.
Why a Licensed Master Plumber Matters for New Construction
In Georgia, new construction plumbing must be performed by or under the direct supervision of a Licensed Master Plumber. Zach Hall holds a Master Plumber license and ensures every installation meets Georgia's plumbing code and passes inspection the first time.
